League Report 14th November

There were some big scorelines this weekend where the first division sees new leaders in Gt Yarmouth Town as they head the division on goal difference courtesy of their 9-0 rout over Hembsy FC.

Rollesby who have played three games more move into second place as they held champions Camden Tavern to a 3-3 draw.

Windmill remain third despite being inactive whilst El Sol move above Camden Tavern into fourth place as they racked up an 8-0 win at Hembsy SSC.

Gorleston Albion picked up their second win following their 3-1 win at Star & Garter. Elsewhere in the division Acle Wanderers picked up their first three point haul as they beat Memphis Belton 3-2.

It’s as you were at the top of the second divison as the top three all picked up victories.

Yarmouth White Sox ran out 7-0 winners against Carpathians whilst Camden Tavern Reserves remain just a point and a game behind following a 2-0 win at Gorleston Rangers.

Martham are a further two points adrift as they struck eight unanswered goals against Mariners Compass whilst Bohemians are a further four points back as they beat Leisureland 3-0.

Lichfield picked up their second win of the campaign as they picked up a good 7-1 win against Gorleston Albion Reserves whilst the final game ended all square as Sun FC and Venture Albion battled out a 2-2 draw.

This week sees the third round of the county cup competitions, so good luck to all teams from the league.

Clubs are reminded that the scores should be phoned through by the home team to Glyn Gray by no later than 6pm on the day of the match. Failure to do so will result in a fine of £25 as per rule 11b in the handbook. Glyn can be contacted on 01493 651261 or 07504 991058.

Also all clubs have to submit a result card to registrations secretary Steve Bishop for any competitive match they play by the Wednesday following the game. Failure to do so will result in a fine of £20.

The fines and rules are clearly stated in the hand book and already this season we have had to issue several fines for clubs not adhering to the requirements of running a side within this league.
