League report 31st October.

It’s as you were at the top of the first division despite the leaders Windmill being without a game. They were joined on 15 points by Rollesby whom defeated Acle Wanderers 4-1 however Windmill have the advantage of three games in hand.

Third place Gt Yarmouth Town dropped their first points of the season as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Gorleston Albion.

The biggest winners of the day were Camden Tavern who returned from Hembsy FC with a resounding 13-0 victory whilst Memphis Belton picked up their first point of the season as they held Star & Garter to a 3-3 draw.

It’s also as you were at the summit of the second division as the top three sides all picked up maximum points.

Yarmouth White Sox won 5-2 at Bohemians who after a good start have slipped up of late. Camden Tavern Reserves are a point behind but with a game in hand following their solid 2-0 win against Mariners Compass whilst 3rd placed Martham won 4-0 at Lichfield Arms.

Another team to fall away after a bright start are Gorleston Rangers who slipped to a 3-2 reverse against Gorleston Albion Reserves whilst Carpathians and Leisureland battled out a two goal draw.

The final game was a 9 goal thriller which went the way on Sun FC whom picked up their first win of the season at Venture Albion 5-4.

This week sees the second round of the KO Cup after which the quarter finalists will be known.

Clubs are reminded that the scores should be phoned through by the home team to Glyn Gray by no later than 6pm on the day of the match. Failure to do so will result in a fine of £25 as per rule 11b in the handbook. Glyn can be contacted on 01493 651261 or 07504 991058.

Also all clubs have to submit a result card to registrations secretary Steve Bishop for any competitive match they play by the Wednesday following the game. Failure to do so will result in a fine of £20.

The fines and rules are clearly stated in the hand book and already this season we have had to issue several fines for clubs not adhering to the requirements of running a side within this league.
